SHARP is delighted to announce that the 34th Annual Seguin Mail Run which took place on 17th February 2018 raised a grand total of $2249.50!
$1407 was raised by silent auctions, SHARP merchandise and prize donation sales. $842.50 was raised by the Township of Seguin and of that amount, the mushers gathered $686.50 selling their special edition ‘Sledvelopes’ which were carried by dogsled teams.
SHARP would like to thank both the towns of Humphrey and Rosseau of Seguin Township, all the organisers, volunteers, participants and of course the mushers and their dog teams and handlers who all took part to make it a huge success yet again.
This year’s Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run video was taken and arranged by Hong Zhao.

SHARP would like to publicly thank the management and staff of the Pet Valu – Guelph, Eramosa Road for hosting our husky adoption event on the 22nd of April, 2017. It was an extremely successful day, thanks in no small part to the efforts and support of the management and staff of the store. The organizing that they did prior to the event and the welcome and help on the day itself (including allowing us access to the store to show-case our dogs) helped make the day a great success. In addition, the very generous donation reached (over their $2000 target) will ensure that the rescue dogs will continue to enjoy good health and good nutrition until they are found ‘forever’ homes.
The support from Pet Valu is such an important part of our ability to achieve our mission of rehoming and protecting Siberian Huskies and we really do appreciate it.
SHARP would like to send out a huge thank you to the Seguin Mail Run, Board Members, Organizers, Mushers, Handlers, Karen Nikischin, Township of Seguin – JJ and Dominque, Donors to the auction and anyone else we may have missed.
We are so honoured to have been chosen to be the recipients of the Mail Runs donations this year.
This will go a long way in helping us save lives, feed and vet the dogs coming into rescue and towards finding them new forever homes.
I hope you all give yourselves a huge pat on the back, what you have done has made a huge difference to dogs that otherwise may not have been saved. Your contribution of $797 will go a long way and we cannot thank you enough!
