Saia: Siberian Husky mix (F) 1½ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Saia
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Female
Age: 1½ years
Cat: Unknown
Dog: Good
Kids: No

Hi my name is Saia and they say I’m about 18 months old, but I’m still a puppy who would love a strong companion to play and run with. I love squeaky toys and a good game of tug. I also don’t mind running off with your sock or slipper too. Once I am introduced to someone I ask for belly rubs and butt scratches. I do exhibit hyper puppy behaviour and get a little carried away with nipping, so no kids is best to be safe. Happy go lucky is how I am. I am house trained and good in the yard.

Saia knows basic commands. She is very curious and playful.  She walks well on leash and is good with other dogs.

Saia does need to learn how to take treats more nicely. Right now she takes your whole hand with the treat so does need a bit of work on this. She looks like a big girl, but she weighs around 50 pounds, so at the top of the standard weight wise. Saia is spayed and microchipped.

Luna: Siberian Husky (F) 2½ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Luna
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (spayed)
Age: 2½ years
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Excellent with all sizes
Kids: Yes (came from a home with tweens/teenagers)

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Luna is still looking for a home. She’s a gorgeous Siberian Husky with piercing blue eyes. She’s currently living with us and our 2 dogs (Lab and Husky). Her original owner is going through very rough times and felt it was better to surrender her rather than neglect her. We’re trying to keep her out of a shelter.

She’s 2½ years old and an absolutely amazing dog. She’s spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She walks well on leash and knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, down, paw). She spent 6 weeks with a professional dog trainer. She loves to go hiking and her recall is good within fenced areas/dog parks. She’s a very quick learner and very submissive. She’s great with other dogs and with children. She initiates play with all dogs of all sizes at the dog park. She’s crate trained but we’ve had no issues leaving her loose at our house (although we did keep her in a crate for first week when we left home or slept until she was comfortable in our home).

Luna would do best with an active owner who can give her the daily exercise she needs. The only serious issue we discovered and are working on is that she resource guards her food. We were feeding her separately from my dogs for the first few days but have now slowly started feeding them all at the same time. She will still snarl or growl if one of them comes near her bowl but it is getting better. She also liked going through garbage bins in bathrooms. She has already been started on tick/parasite prevention and comes with 4 more doses of Revolution for this season. She’s also microchipped.

Flash: Husky x Whippet (M) 3 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Flash
Breed: Husky x Whippet
Gender: Male (neutered)
Age: 3 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Good
Kids: Good but older due to his size
UTD on shots and microchipped
Owner surrender

Flash is quite the gentle giant, very tall with a calm and friendly personality. He is not overly-excitable which is a good thing for his size! He is 26 inches at the shoulders so would be better with older children in the household. He walks well on a leash and will need a fair amount of exercise to stretch those long legs. He’s great with other dogs/in the dog park, a very good car passenger, does not need to be crated whilst travelling and will happily lay on the back seat or floor once settled. Takes treats nicely and does not snatch, eats well, not a picky eater, no signs of food aggression. He is house trained and knows basic commands.

He doesn’t like to be crated but will use his dog bed to sleep on. He has some anxiety issues when confined or left alone so his ideal home would be where someone works from home or is home all day. He is quite inquisitive and likes to follow you around or be near you. He may also benefit from having another dog as company. He will require a fenced garden and no small animals or cats.

Garou: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute (M) 8+ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Garou
Breed: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Male
Age: 8+
Cat: No
Dog: Older, calm
Kids: No

Howdy, my name is Garou, but my foster mom nicknamed me Toothless. My teeth were so rotten, I had almost half of them taken out!  I have almost no upper teeth, and I am also a very picky eater. I love this raw diet my foster mom feeds me and would love to continue it!

I do nip when my mouth is touched, but it is really minor and is linked to having bad teeth for so many years. I am an older boy at approximately 8 years old. I am neutered, up to date on my core and Bordetella vaccinations, and microchipped.

I am crate and house trained, though I do also like to be outside often. I am heavy footed and a bit of a klutz, which is part of what makes me so unique! I LOVE the couch and human beds, so please let me on them. I have been through a lot in my life and just want a nice, quiet home to live out the rest of my years in. I would prefer a home with no children or cats. I am good with older, calmer dogs, especially females. Please no young, energetic and hyper dogs. I am not obedience trained and do pull on leash. I am very quiet and would be fine in an apartment.

In lieu of an adoption fee, a donation towards my extensive vetting costs is greatly appreciated.

Vin: Siberian Husky mix (M) 9 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Vin
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Gender: Male
Age: 9 years
Cat: Unknown
Dogs: Good
Kids: Older

My name is Vin.  Let me conquer your heart with my cuddles.  I may be an older boy, but I still have lots to give.  I am mostly deaf, so training is a bit of a challenge but I love my treats so nothing is impossible.  My distance sight is better than close up, but I can still get around.

I’ve learned how to sit nicely to take a treat.  I’m working on not pulling, as if I’m part of a team pulling a sled, but you will need to continue to work with me so I can do better.  I also like being outside so if you have a nice big yard with a fence I’ll be happy there too.  I’m great on car rides so you can take me along with you.  Retirement is for being spoiled and I’d gladly let you do that for me.

I’m crate trained and I’ll go into my crate once I know where it is and that it’s mine.  I’m intact, but due to my age I’ll be adopted on a strict no breeding contract. In lieu of an adoption fee, a donation is greatly appreciated.

Blizzard: Siberian Husky (M) 12 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Blizzard
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 12 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes – large, submissive, but no small dogs
Kids: Older

Hello, I’m Blizzard and I would love to have a forever home with you! I bond very quickly and respond to my name very well. I already follow foster mom and am gaining confidence super quickly and have only been here a couple of days! I may be 12 years old, but I have lots of spring in my step and can keep up on excursions. I travel very well in a vehicle. I am good with dogs; however I would strongly prefer dogs that are not always in your face and high energy. I’d like to slow down a bit in my doggie companions at this time in my life. I need to meet my new brother/sister prior to going home with them just to make sure we can co-mingle.

I have not been introduced to cats or children but I am not to be near small animals as I think they are snacks. So far I have not had any handling issues that would prevent me from being good with older children. I do jump up once in awhile in excitement though. I have lived outdoors my whole life, so I will need someone patient to teach me about indoor life or an indoor-outdoor home. I am not house trained but I am crate trained. I am a very good learner when snacks are involved! I am microchipped and will be adopted on a strict non-breeding contract due to my age.

Chilli and Justin: Siberian Huskies (M) 9½ and 8½ years – ADOPTED!

ADOPTED!

Names: Chilli and Justin
Age: 9½ and 8½ years
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Males
Kids: Yes
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes – see description

Chilli and Justin were born here in Ontario and are now back in Ontario after spending their lives in Newfoundland. Chilli and Justin were returned to their breeder through no fault of their own and are now looking for a forever retirement home.

Chilli and Justin were raised in the house and are house and crate trained. They have never been apart, so it would be ideal if they could find a home together. They can live both indoors and outdoors; though indoors is their preference. They are generally good with other dogs and children, but please no cats. Young, energetic intact males aren’t to their liking; and they do prefer a smaller pack environment. After all, they are getting older and as we get older, we want more quiet.

Typical to the breed, they like to talk but don’t bark. Chilli and Justin are up to date on their vaccinations, but are not neutered. They will be adopted on a neuter contract. For this reason, they do not have an adoption fee. In lieu of an adoption fee, their neuters are at adopter’s expense.

Blaze: Siberian Husky mix (M) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Blaze (Bonded with Kulu)
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: OK
Kids: No

My name is Blaze. I am an energetic and affectionate dog who needs an experienced, active forever human. I might even make a good sled dog!

I am house trained, but have not had any obedience training. I pull on leash and I hate having a collar put on. I sometimes nip when I want attention. I have met a cat and it’s clear that I’m not suitable for a home with cats or other small animals. It’s the same for children, I’m not aggressive, but I’m good with children due to anxiety and attention nipping. However, I am good with other dogs. I am also crate trained, and will go in with only a little coaxing. I do fuss for about an hour after being crated, but I will settle for the night. I am quiet for the most part, but I do exhibit separation anxiety, so I can be loud if you’re near me, but not paying attention.

My ideal forever home is active and has a fenced in area for me to run and play in to burn off my energy. My ideal forever humans will take me to obedience classes to help form a bond and help me with my unruly behaviour.

I am not neutered and will be adopted on a neuter contract to be completed once my behaviour is more under control.

Meca: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute (F) 6½ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Meca
Breed: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Female
Age: 6½ years
Cats: No
Dogs: Larger only
Kids: Unknown – older only

Meet Meca, pronounced like Mika. I am 6.5 years young, and am looking for some nice people who are committed to snuggles, long hikes and/or runs, and training.  I am very affectionate when I am comfortable with a person and I have a great personality to match my ridiculous good looks. I like to be pet and will offer belly rubs, but please wait until I offer my belly for belly rubs. I am non-destructive in a home and can be left alone for several hours of the day, where I will snooze or play with my toys. I have a goofy personality which is often illustrated through my facial expressions and my soft woos. I have good manners in regards to not begging when food is nearby as well as not being very vocal expect for my soft woo’s. I am a very smart dog and know my basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and high five/paw. That being said, I am eager to continue learning – especially to build up confidence with my owner, learn new tricks, and work on my dominant personality around small dogs. When I am adventuring outside, I often forget my manners and will pull on the leash to please my high prey drive. I am OK with calm dogs but really I am not all that interested in making friends. I would definitely benefit from someone who is committed to exercising me often either with hikes, runs, or swimming.

I am good with most dogs on leash but I am a dominant dog so dogs that are tolerate of this personality quirk is best for me. PLEASE no little dogs or cats!! I have not been around kids, so older kids would be best if I have to live with kids. I am house trained, crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of my vaccinations! I am currently in foster in a townhouse, so I should be ok in an apartment/condo as well if I can’t have a home with a fenced yard to run around in.

Tessa: Siberian Husky (F) 12 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Tessa
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (spayed)
Age: 12 years
Cats: With caution
Dog: Yes – large, submissive
Kids: No

Hi everyone my name is Tessa. Don’t let my older age fool you – I still have lots of energy to burn and I’ll keep you running around with me and on your toes. As you can see, that also includes brushing and grooming me!

I am a lot of fun, however very unpredictable. Please, please do not ever touch my collar area! Please don’t pester me while I am eating/having a treat. Please muzzle me for grooming as it really annoys me. I am easily adaptable and quiet for the most part and recently lived in an apartment successfully for a brief period of time.

Even though I am 12 years old, I beg you to keep up with me on walks! I pull on the leash so it is up to you to keep me in control and reined in. I know how to sit. I am OK with larger and quieter dogs but I do not like smaller dogs. I am too unpredictable and sensitive to handling for children and have bitten them multiple times when they tried to catch me by my collar.

My favourite toys are balls. I can play by myself with a ball for hours, but I also like playing ball with humans too. Tennis balls don’t last me long, but hard rubber balls do well. They don’t even need to squeak or make noise, but it’s definitely a bonus if they do!

I am house trained, but can piddle due to spay incontinence. I am crate trained, but only to the side door of a double door wire crate. There is just something about going in the end door of a crate that I don’t like. I am also non-destructive when left loose all day.

I am spayed and microchipped. I am house trained.
