Missy: Siberian Husky (F) 9 months – ADOPTED

Name: Missy
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (intact)
Age: 9 months
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: No

Missy is a very nervous dog. She was bottom of the pecking order in her previous pack and was usually the one getting beat up outside when everyone went to play.

She is not good with cats or kids as she gets a little nippy when excited and playing or when scared. She loves people once she warms up to them, but is definitely not fond of other dogs. Greetings scare her. Do not walk up behind her.

She has a lot of energy and is very easily excitable once comfortable. She does have a problem with jumping up, typically worse when outside but not too bad in the house. Her upbringing in the pack environment she had has made her quite anxious but with a calmer home, she will do a lot better. She is a sweet dog, she will be one that needs a good amount of training though. She comes, sits and lays down when asked but sometimes if other dogs are around she is too concerned with what they might do and stops listening.

Missy is crate trained, but does exhibit separation anxiety. If startled, she will bark until calm again. Walks very well on leash. House trained. Not a digger or a fence climber. Missy is anxious when she travels in a vehicle and will drool heavily. Ideally, Missy will stay relatively local to avoid long travel.

Missy is microchipped and will be adopted on a strict non-breeding and spay contract to be completed after she is of appropriate age and also more relaxed and settled. Missy has just finished her first heat cycle.

Ronin: Alaskan Malamute (M) 5½ years – ADOPTED

Name: Ronin
Breed: Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: 5½ years
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Good
Kids: Yes

With Ice’s Foundation – K9 rescue

Hi my name is Ronin, I’m a 5 year old malamute. I love to go for walks, take it easy at home – I don’t bark or howl much. I like meeting new people, I like kids and my bestie is a cat. I like being social and getting out to meet other dogs, love to be groomed.

I wander off leash so on leash is best for me. I’ve also lived inside, well pampered I’ve had a great life and a good up bringing. I listen well.

Unfortunately my owner is not well, she’s in a home being cared for, she has dementia and MS. She thinks I’m a handsome boy when she sees me and asks what my name is but I’m still happy to see her. I eat grain free salmon kibble, right now I’ve lost a little weight so I get little extra raw beef in my diet. I will be up to date with my shots and I’m fixed with no health issues, so I’m a pretty easy guy to settle into a new home, my birthday is November 13 and I’ll be 6.

Roscoe: Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix (M) 1½ years – ADOPTED

Name: Roscoe
Breed: Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix
Sex: Male
Age: 1½ years
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Good
Kids: Good

Hi, I’m Roscoe and I am estimated to be around 1½ years old. I am a youthful, happy boy and I just want to be with you! I am house trained and I’m working on my crate manners, I settle after a minute or two.

As a young guy, I can jump when I’m excited, I just need some work on that. I walk decent on a leash, since I just love to be with you, I usually just follow, but if a smell intrigues me I may investigate  I am great with kids, they’re so much fun to play with and run next too. I am looking for an active forever home to help me burn off some of this excitement and energy. My forever human would ideally take me to obedience classes to teach me the manners I have not yet learned. I am very soft and love to be pet! You can do pretty much anything to me, I dont even protest being picked up. I am good with other dogs for the most part. I have not met a cat or other small animals. but wait?? Did you say food?? I love food, if you’ll share with me, I’ll take it ever so gently.

I am microchipped. I am intact and will be adopted on a strict neuter and non-breeding contract to be completed once I am more settled and less anxious. I do have an undescended testicle, so my neuter surgery will be more complicated.

Kulu and Blaze: Siberian Husky mixes (M) 1 & 2 years – BONDED PAIR – ADOPTED

Names: Kulu and Blaze
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 1 and 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: OK
Kids: Older

Hello, we are Kulu (left) and Blaze (right) and we came into rescue total strangers a few months ago. We’ve since become fast friends whilst we’ve waited so long for our forever homes and we have now become very bonded together. We are a perfect match for each other in every way!

We are now seeking one home for the both of us. Siberians do better with a friend anyway, so why not take us both home?! We are both young, smart and capable of learning. We both know sit, and Kulu knows stay – as long as treats are involved! We both need work on our jumping and mouthing manners but we are just so excited to see foster mom we just can’t help ourselves! We do dig in the yard, but we are also happy to lay down and wrestle with each other. Neither of us like going in crates that much and will put up a fight, but once we are in we settle within a few minutes.

We are house trained. We cannot go to a home with small animals, including cats and small dogs. Children in the home should be 12 or older so we don’t accidentally knock them down with our excitement or mouth them too hard. We are both microchipped and Kulu (1 year) is up to date on all his vaccinations and neutered. Blaze (2 years) is not yet neutered and will be adopted on a neuter contract to be done once he’s more settled. We know finding a home for both of us together is difficult, but please, please consider us!  We are trying our best to be good boys, just give us time to settle in and watch us amaze you!

Loki: Siberian Husky mix (M) 14 months – ADOPTED

Name: Loki
Breed: Husky cross
Sex: Male, neutered
Age: 14 months
Cats: OK
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

Loki is a lively 14 month old neutered boy who is up-to-date on vaccinations and has basic training.  He is socialised but due to very unfortunate family issues was surrendered and subsequently has had less attention and is starting with behavioural issues because of it.  This includes resource guarding such as food and toys so this would need working with and he would definitely need to be fed separately to start with as he did get into a fight because of it due to an inexperienced handler feeding him next to another dog.

He did spend an early part of his puppy life on a farm so is used to animals such as cats and birds, however, due to the recent behavioural issues we would not trust his natural prey-drive not to kick in now he is maturing. He gets along with kids and other dogs. He is a talker but not a loud barker, he has pushed boundaries with digging and would need a secure yard or dog run to avoid escaping acts.  Needs knowledgeable and firm owner to work with him. Obviously at this age, he has lots of energy so a good deal of exercise is also key to his training.

Saia: Siberian Husky mix (F) 1½ years – ADOPTED

Name: Saia
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Female
Age: 1½ years
Cat: Unknown
Dog: Good
Kids: No

Hi my name is Saia and they say I’m about 18 months old, but I’m still a puppy who would love a strong companion to play and run with. I love squeaky toys and a good game of tug. I also don’t mind running off with your sock or slipper too. Once I am introduced to someone I ask for belly rubs and butt scratches. I do exhibit hyper puppy behaviour and get a little carried away with nipping, so no kids is best to be safe. Happy go lucky is how I am. I am house trained and good in the yard.

Saia knows basic commands. She is very curious and playful.  She walks well on leash and is good with other dogs.

Saia does need to learn how to take treats more nicely. Right now she takes your whole hand with the treat so does need a bit of work on this. She looks like a big girl, but she weighs around 50 pounds, so at the top of the standard weight wise. Saia is spayed and microchipped.

Luna: Siberian Husky (F) 2½ years – ADOPTED

Name: Luna
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (spayed)
Age: 2½ years
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Excellent with all sizes
Kids: Yes (came from a home with tweens/teenagers)

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Luna is still looking for a home. She’s a gorgeous Siberian Husky with piercing blue eyes. She’s currently living with us and our 2 dogs (Lab and Husky). Her original owner is going through very rough times and felt it was better to surrender her rather than neglect her. We’re trying to keep her out of a shelter.

She’s 2½ years old and an absolutely amazing dog. She’s spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She walks well on leash and knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, down, paw). She spent 6 weeks with a professional dog trainer. She loves to go hiking and her recall is good within fenced areas/dog parks. She’s a very quick learner and very submissive. She’s great with other dogs and with children. She initiates play with all dogs of all sizes at the dog park. She’s crate trained but we’ve had no issues leaving her loose at our house (although we did keep her in a crate for first week when we left home or slept until she was comfortable in our home).

Luna would do best with an active owner who can give her the daily exercise she needs. The only serious issue we discovered and are working on is that she resource guards her food. We were feeding her separately from my dogs for the first few days but have now slowly started feeding them all at the same time. She will still snarl or growl if one of them comes near her bowl but it is getting better. She also liked going through garbage bins in bathrooms. She has already been started on tick/parasite prevention and comes with 4 more doses of Revolution for this season. She’s also microchipped.

Flash: Husky x Whippet (M) 3 years – ADOPTED

Name: Flash
Breed: Husky x Whippet
Gender: Male (neutered)
Age: 3 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Good
Kids: Good but older due to his size
UTD on shots and microchipped
Owner surrender

Flash is quite the gentle giant, very tall with a calm and friendly personality. He is not overly-excitable which is a good thing for his size! He is 26 inches at the shoulders so would be better with older children in the household. He walks well on a leash and will need a fair amount of exercise to stretch those long legs. He’s great with other dogs/in the dog park, a very good car passenger, does not need to be crated whilst travelling and will happily lay on the back seat or floor once settled. Takes treats nicely and does not snatch, eats well, not a picky eater, no signs of food aggression. He is house trained and knows basic commands.

He doesn’t like to be crated but will use his dog bed to sleep on. He has some anxiety issues when confined or left alone so his ideal home would be where someone works from home or is home all day. He is quite inquisitive and likes to follow you around or be near you. He may also benefit from having another dog as company. He will require a fenced garden and no small animals or cats.

Garou: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute (M) 8+ years – ADOPTED

Name: Garou
Breed: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Male
Age: 8+
Cat: No
Dog: Older, calm
Kids: No

Howdy, my name is Garou, but my foster mom nicknamed me Toothless. My teeth were so rotten, I had almost half of them taken out!  I have almost no upper teeth, and I am also a very picky eater. I love this raw diet my foster mom feeds me and would love to continue it!

I do nip when my mouth is touched, but it is really minor and is linked to having bad teeth for so many years. I am an older boy at approximately 8 years old. I am neutered, up to date on my core and Bordetella vaccinations, and microchipped.

I am crate and house trained, though I do also like to be outside often. I am heavy footed and a bit of a klutz, which is part of what makes me so unique! I LOVE the couch and human beds, so please let me on them. I have been through a lot in my life and just want a nice, quiet home to live out the rest of my years in. I would prefer a home with no children or cats. I am good with older, calmer dogs, especially females. Please no young, energetic and hyper dogs. I am not obedience trained and do pull on leash. I am very quiet and would be fine in an apartment.

In lieu of an adoption fee, a donation towards my extensive vetting costs is greatly appreciated.

Vin: Siberian Husky mix (M) 9 years – ADOPTED

Name: Vin
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Gender: Male
Age: 9 years
Cat: Unknown
Dogs: Good
Kids: Older

My name is Vin.  Let me conquer your heart with my cuddles.  I may be an older boy, but I still have lots to give.  I am mostly deaf, so training is a bit of a challenge but I love my treats so nothing is impossible.  My distance sight is better than close up, but I can still get around.

I’ve learned how to sit nicely to take a treat.  I’m working on not pulling, as if I’m part of a team pulling a sled, but you will need to continue to work with me so I can do better.  I also like being outside so if you have a nice big yard with a fence I’ll be happy there too.  I’m great on car rides so you can take me along with you.  Retirement is for being spoiled and I’d gladly let you do that for me.

I’m crate trained and I’ll go into my crate once I know where it is and that it’s mine.  I’m intact, but due to my age I’ll be adopted on a strict no breeding contract. In lieu of an adoption fee, a donation is greatly appreciated.
