Diesel: Siberian Husky (M) 7 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Diesel
Breed: Siberian Husky
Gender: Male (neutered)
Age: 7 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

My name is Diesel and I’m a 7 year old refined gentleman.  I love to cuddle and touch my favourite human often. I would be in heaven if I can lie beside you on the couch and be gently petted. To help you control husky shedding, I’ll gleefully let you comb me out. In fact I love this attention and gladly submit to it daily.  After all, I am a gentleman who likes to look his best.

Did you say you like the outdoors?  Me too!  I really like going bikejoring or running with you. I love to go for walks and I do not pull too hard on the leash; well in husky speak I don’t pull too hard. I am NOT an off leash dog and have a high prey drive. If I’m free I will go after farm animals and wildlife so cannot be trusted. Please no cats!  I do enjoy the company of other dogs and will play nicely with them.  I do not like to be crowded by other dogs when I lie down or eat and I will growl to tell them off. I love humans, attention, soft beds, FOOD, exercising and going outside to take care of business. I am gentle with children as well, so would be a great addition to a family! I am neutered, microchipped, and UTD on my vaccinations.

Sable: Husky (F) 6 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Sable
Breed: Husky
Sex: Female (Spayed)
Age: 6 years
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Our dog’s name is Sable – She very much enjoys being with people and is great with children.  She loves the dog park and being with other dogs.  We do not have a cat so I am not sure how she reacts to them.

Sable is spayed and has her vaccinations.

She is challenged with being alone and will often have accidents in the house or show destructive behaviours.  She knows basic commands and seems eager to please.   A very gentle lady indeed.

She loves to sleep at the bottom of ours or our children’s beds and when people are home with her she is extremely well behaved.

Oakley: Husky (M) 6 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Oakley
Breed: Husky
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: 6 years
Kids: Older
Dogs: No
Cats: No

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Oakley is a very loving boy. He is a quiet husky, who doesn’t howl or bark. He is very laid-back and content with one or two short walks per day. Oakley was professionally trained and is exceptional on and off leash (in contained areas), although he isn’t good with other dogs so we keep him on leash to avoid conflicts. He loves to chase squirrels and would benefit from a fenced yard.

Oakley was attacked by three German Shepherds when he was younger and can show reactive aggression towards other dogs, especially males. For this reason he should be in a home without other dogs, and dog-parks are to be avoided. He loves long walks in the forest, car rides, boating and is a great companion in a canoe or kayak. He is friendly with strangers but doesn’t like being handled by them.

He is gentle and patient with our 5 year old son. He loves affection but requires time to adjust to his new people.

Oakley loves food and is motivated by treats. He will sit, give a paw and lay down. He is a wonderful, loving companion. Oakley is house trained, neutered and all of his shots are up-to-date. He also recently completed the lepto-lime disease vaccination.

Bosko: Siberian Husky (M) 5 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Bosko
Breed: Siberian Husky
Gender: Male (intact)
Age: 5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Not recommended
Kids: Yes

My name is Bosko and I am a 5 year old Husky.

I am an extremely polite and well mannered dog. I am house trained, I don’t pee or poop in the house, I am extremely friendly, affectionate, loving, and great with kids. If you start to pet me, and then get distracted and stop, don’t worry, I will remind you and nudge your arm or hand to start again where you left off!

I sleep very well at night on my dog bed with my foster family. I don’t bark, whine, whimper or howl during the night, I sleep quietly with my foster family and match the dynamic of the household. If you want me to relax with you and your family, I’ll be quiet and lay low with you. However, if you give me permission, I have no problem play fighting and and getting excited on the spot!

I don’t go in the kitchen, bathrooms, or bedrooms at my foster house unless I’m asked or invited to do so. I don’t jump up on beds or go on the furniture either. I love being outside and I don’t mind the cold weather one bit! I am a very family oriented dog though, so please don’t keep me outside all day or for hours on end. If I am left alone, I don’t chew on anything or terrorize the house. I relax on my dog bed, and wait for you patiently to come home. However, I will also go in my crate for you.

I need lots of walks and attention. Right now, I am very lucky, and I get at least two 30-minute walks every day, plus play time, and time outside to run around in the fenced-in yard. I don’t chew any toys or chew on things around the house so don’t worry, I won’t ruin your favourite furniture or shoes!  I do shed a lot, so I hope you don’t mind cleaning up my hairs. I can get a bit anxious and unsure around other dogs, but if they are friendly and mind their own business, then I can deal with them.

If you’re interested in me, I strongly encourage to come visit me. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.  I am microchipped. I am intact and will be adopted on a neuter contract to be completed once I am more settled into my new home.

Kasey: Alaskan Husky (F) 1½ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Kasey
Breed: Alaskan Husky
Gender: Female (spayed)
Age: 1½ years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: Yes

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Hi, I’m Kasey! I’m a 1½ year old female Alaskan husky. I have already been spayed and I am up to date on my shots.

I am quite talkative and very active. I do need some work on crate training and my separation anxiety, as I don’t really like being left alone. I am not a fan of other dogs or cats, (especially other females) so I need to be the only pet in the house.

I am not suitable for an apartment as I love to be outside but I will need a tall fence in case something catches my eye! It may take me a little bit to warm up to you, so please be patient.

I’m a little hesitant toward some people (mostly men) but if they let me sniff them I will slowly warm up. Sudden movements may startle me. I do like to cuddle and I love belly rubs! I always sit before being given treats or food. I have been told that I am a very smart girl and quick learner, I just don’t always listen the best. I may need to be told things a couple of times before I do them.

My current parents want me to find a loving home, so there is no adoption fee but a donation to SHARP is appreciated.

Alaska: Siberian Husky (M) 4 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Alaska
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: 4 years
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

***CONTACT OWNER DIRECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST***

Alaska is almost 4 and around 50-65lbs. He is great with kids and has been around them since he was a puppy, very tolerant of typical baby behaviour, and will attempt to leave situations that he doesn’t like.

Alaska does well with other animals, he isn’t typically aggressive but is extremely playful which some dogs don’t react well to. Alaska doesn’t show any food aggressive behaviours and is very food motivated for training.

Alaska does not walk well on a leash (he is a strong puller) and will require a strong leader to continue to work on training, he will follow some commands especially if there is food involved. Alaska would do best with a yard with a fence where he can run and play but the fence needs to be husky proof as he could take off if there’s something on the other side of the fence.

I haven’t had any luck curbing the jumping behaviours, however with training I’m confident it would happen. Alaska does have accidents when left alone for extended periods of time (10 plus hours) however this is a recent behaviour which I believe was brought on by not enough attention/outdoor exercise, as it only happens when I am out of the house. Alaska has not had crate training. He will lick his legs when he is bored, which can result in sores.

Alaska is neutered and microchipped.

Precious: Siberian Husky (F) 5 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Precious
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (spayed)
Age: 5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Older

Precious was appropriately named! She is such a Precious gem of a dog.

Precious has an awesome temperament and personality! She is very dog friendly and people friendly. She is a little bit sensitive about her fur/skin being grabbed, so kids would need to be respectful and not grab at her.

She is quite agile and is a very quiet girl for the most part. She does fuss a little bit in her crate if she needs out or when being left. She is crate trained, house trained, walks decently on leash and knows some basic commands. Sounds great, right? Her major flaw is that she is extremely toy/bone possessive with other animals. She is also nippy when told no if she is demanding attention, which she does a lot!

She has great fun out in the yard with humans, dogs or both. She is spayed, UTD on her vaccinations and is microchipped.

Precious will not last long, so don’t delay in sending in that adoption application for her!

Luna: Husky mix (F) 2 years (approx) – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Luna
Breed: Husky mix
Gender: Female (spayed)
Age: 2 years (approx)
Cats: OK
Dogs: Yes
Kids: No

***CONTACT OWNER DIRECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST***

My husky Luna needs a new home. Luna is almost 2 (estimated).

Luna was a stray, I took her home last August. Luna needs a very special home. Someone with no kids as she’s never been around then & someone who likes to go on walks. She’s been good with dogs and cats.

Luna is very skiddish around new people, it took forever for her to gain my trust. Now she’s an everyday loving sweetheart around me. However, I am in school and Luna spends a lot of time in a crate lately because she gets anxiety and chews. Luna needs a home who has the time for her. Breaks my heart but it’s what is best for her.

I believe she’s spayed and she is up-to-date on vaccinations.

Hercules: Siberian Husky mix (M) 5 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Hercules
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Gender: Male (neutered)
Age: 5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: No

Hi, my name is Hercules and I am baaaack!

I am back because the children in my neighbourhood are out of school and did not respect my property. Gosh, I hate children! I am a loving boy with adult humans, but I absolutely cannot stand children and cannot go to a home where there are children in close proximity or who visit my home.

I do guard my toys and food as well, but if I bring you my toy, let’s play! I love water and to go swimming at the beach or any other body of water. I am not a fan of other dogs or cats, so I need to be the only pet in the household.

I need a refresher on my obedience training and a strict diet and exercise program to be back to my ideal self. I am crate trained, house trained, and quiet in the home. I can be alone and am non-destructive for the most part. I do not dig or try to climb over fences.

I like it here at my foster home, but I really do want to settle down in one final forever home. Please don’t set me up for failure! I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my rabies vaccine.

Gunner: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Gunner
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 1 year
Cats: No
Dog: Yes
Kids: Yes

Hello, my name is Gunner and I am a 1 year old male Siberian husky puppy. I was born in a house with cats and kids, adopted to a home with cats and kids, and recently returned to SHARP. I am not suitable for a home with cats. Not only do I get aggressive with cats, but it is definitely genetic in my litter to not be good with cats.

I am good with kids and other dogs, however. I know sit and down. I am very smart and learning very quickly how to walk well on leash. I am house trained. I am making great progress on my crate training and severe separation anxiety. I can be left for short periods of time (a few hours) in a crate as long as there is another dog near me (either loose in the room, or in an adjacent crate). I am very mischievous when left loose and love to clear off the kitchen counters or anywhere else where there may be food.

I am very much a puppy still and need an active home. It would be absolutely perfect if my forever home got me into obedience classes and/or other dog sports. I am not suitable for an apartment or a home without a fenced in yard. I escape tethers and break standard pet collars with ease. I come with a very sturdy collar that must be on me at all times. I come with a lifetime supply of this collar. If it wears out, just email the rescue and one will be mailed right away. I am microchipped and will be adopted on a neuter contract to be done when I am of age. My small umbilical hernia can be repaired during my neuter.
