Aura: Siberian Husky x German Shepherd (F) 3 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Aura
Breed: Siberian Husky x German Shepherd
Gender: Female (intact)
Age: 3 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

I’m Aura and I am the most perfect girl ever! I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I’m fabulous. I am a big, wiggly, cuddly, yippy lap dog.

I LOVE going for car rides, no matter how short or how long, and no matter where the destination. I love all people of all sizes and will push in for attention. I might accidentally knock over little people, but I mean absolutely no harm. I will climb in your lap on the couch, or lay on you in bed. Affectionate doesn’t even come close to describing me; and nor does the word awesome.

I am house trained, crate trained (I prefer to be loose at night but I will settle if I must), non-destructive in the home for the most part, dog friendly with big and small-ish dogs, but not cat or chicken friendly. I do prefer dogs that don’t crowd me as soon as I go outside, and I find puppies annoying.

Now that you’ve heard all the good things about me, it’s time for my flaws. I am an escape artist. I can escape Alcatraz if I don’t get enough exercise and mental stimulation throughout the day. I dig out even through dig guard or tree roots. I also need to work on my leash walking skills and basic obedience.

I am microchipped, and will be adopted on a strict spay contract to be completed after an ear infection is cleared up and my health is back on track. I do need to be spayed at a precise time between cycles, since my cycles are irregular, SHARP will help you with the timing to have my spay completed. If I am still here for longer, then I will be spayed prior to adoption at a higher fee.

Zeus: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Zeus
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 1 year
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: No

Hello, my name is Zeus and I want to go home with you. At just 1 year old, I have already had 2 homes through no fault of my own. What I would really love is to finally have a forever home.

Having lived in an apartment before, I could likely do it again, however it should be noted that I can get loud, especially during my crate training. I do not currently know any commands, so take me to obedience classes and we can work on that together while building our bond. I am on the smaller side, but also need to gain weight.

I have loads of potential. I haven’t been around children, but due to my resource guarding issues with other dogs, I can sometimes redirect my frustration on humans. I haven’t been given rules in any of my previous homes, so until I have these rule in place and I accept them, kids are not recommended just as a precaution.  Please no cats as I lunge at them!

I am a door barger, so please, please keep a leash on me at all times until I am settled in. Please put me behind a door when guests come over or when you’re bringing in groceries so I don’t barge out the door and get lost. I am up to date on all of my vaccinations and microchipped. I will be adopted on a strict non-breeding and neuter contract to be completed once I have gained weight and am old enough.

ADOPTED!

Name: Mya

Sex: Female  (spayed)
Age: 3 years
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: OK – see description
Kids: OK

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

I am a 3 year old Siberian Husky. My family says that I have it all – great looks, fantastic athleticism and a sweet heart. I have the cutest symmetric white marks on my face and the most captivating blue eyes.  I am playful and a fast learner. I am very well trained and socialized with people and kids. I learned lots of commands and I am always eager to show off my high five and roll over skills. I am nicely crate and leash trained. I am a big sporty girl who enjoys playing, running and exercising.

I am still learning calm greetings. It is always exciting to be around people but sometimes I get overexcited so I am still perfecting my greeting skills.  I walk really well on a leash which is a huge bonus for my family given my natural tendency to be puller.

I would do well in a family with kids. I really don’t mind being left out on leash outdoors, as I had to do a lot of this with my family given their busy schedule but I am the happiest when I am part of the family. My favourite time of the day is when I get the chance to lying next to you when you are watching TV or having dinner, of course after a nice walk outside.

I have learned as well to go on treadmill. Yes, I became a champion of running for 40 minutes at a speed of 5mph. I prefer going outside but sometimes I enjoy as well the run on the treadmill especially if the weather is creepy and my family prefers to stay indoors.  I am very energetic outside and very quiet in the house. I can stay for long minutes in front of my bowl of bacon waiting for the OK command. Of course it is very tempting but I am very obedient and love to please my people.

I know that there is someone for everyone. I was very happy with my family. They raised me since I was a puppy. It is hard not to be part of their life anymore. I am sure they had their reasons to let me go but I know deep down that someone reading my bio now is saying: “She is the one for me”.

Luna: Siberian Husky (F) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Luna
Breed: Siberian husky
Gender: Female (intact)
Age: 2 years (DOB January 5th 2015)
Kids: Older
Dogs: No
Cats: No

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

My name is Luna (sometimes Tuna). I’m almost 3 years old and I’m a gorgeous red Siberian husky. I’m bi eyed with one blue and one brown/green. I’m an affectionate girl who would excel in a fast paced environment without young kids. I love to tell stories to my owners and make them laugh. I love being around and meeting new people.

I also LOVE food. This has caused me some issues in my past; I have food aggression towards my current owners and other animals. I really need to go to a home that can provide me with training to help me out with this issue. I love playing with other dogs but until I work on myself it might be best that I live alone.

I have never had issues with separate anxiety and do great left alone to roam the house! I have torn up a tissue box once or twice in my past, but who hasn’t! I like to sleep in the coldest part of the house and sneak in to give you kisses first thing in the morning.

I lost some of fur and am a little under weight because I recently had a litter of puppies who are all in loving homes. It’s my turn to find one now . My owners love me dearly and will miss me but with a new job, new baby and small apartment they feel like I’m not getting everything I deserve in life. I would love a big yard to run in, a family to walk with, some belly rubs and endless snacks.

Keiko: Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu (M) 7 years old – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Keiko
Breed: Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu
Gender: Male (neutered)
Age: 7 years old
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Yes
Kids: Older. No younger kids

My name is Keiko. I am a Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu cross who loves to go on hikes, be near my people and nap. I like to roam in my backyard, but I don’t need a tonne of exercise as I am happy chilling in the house!

I am a super calm boy for a Siberian Husky cross – I am not high energy in the house, am not destructive when left alone for long periods of time and am fully house trained. I don’t vocalize much at all, but like to be near you when you’re home.

I love walks and I can be quite a puller. While I am nice and calm in the house, a fenced yard is ideal for me because I like to run and play outside. I don’t dig or jump over fences and am not likely to be an escape artist after a little exploring and maybe a bit of a romp with the doggie friends, I ask to come back in the house and chill.

I love to sit nicely for treats, shake paws, and am very gentle. I have not had any formal training, but am quite smart and likely to do quite well if you were to take me. It would be a great way to bond with me too, as I have a lot of affection to share and am waiting for someone to share that love with me! I am very good with other dogs and I love people. I am also good with older kids but small children aren’t recommended as I am known to guard my food.

Keiko is totally up to date on vaccines and is in good health. I am a touch over weight but haven’t been exercised much lately so should be back to my ideal weight in no time. Keiko is a beautiful dog with a great temperament and attitude and would be a fabulous and easy addition to many families.

Arya: Siberian Husky (F) 3 years old – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Arya
Breed: Siberian Husky
Gender: Female (spayed)
Age: 3 years old
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Yes but mostly untested
Kids: Older. No younger kids

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

My name is Arya. I am a pure bred Siberian Husky who loves to play, cuddle, and roam in my backyard. I need a forever home fast!

I am a super calm girl for a Siberian Husky – I am not high energy in the house, stay off the furniture and bed, and am fully house trained. I don’t bark or howl, but like to be near you when you’re home.

I love walks and going for bike rides. I don’t pull on the bike but I can be a bit of a puller on walks for the first few minutes until I calm down. While I am nice and calm in the house, a fenced yard is ideal for me because I like to run and play outside. I don’t dig or jump over fences though!

I love to sit nicely for treats, shake paws, and am very gentle. I am very fast at learning new tricks and commands, and am adventurous and loyal.  I am good with other dogs and I love people. I am also good with older kids but don’t like when small kids surprise me while I am sleeping.

Arya is totally up to date on her vaccines and is in great health. She is a beautiful dog with a great temperament and attitude.

***THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR RESCUE***

My name is Gracen. I have been living at the dog pound in Northern Manitoba for over 2 months now and I need a forever home fast!

I am a good guy I love to sit nicely for treats or sit nicely for pets and cuddles. I am very fast at learning new tricks and commands as long as there are lots of treats in it for me.

I am not good with other dogs but I love kids and people. I have not been tested with cats.  I have to work on my leash manners as I do pull hard but this just means that I would be an awesome skijoring or bikejoring partner!

Bob: Siberian Husky (M) 10 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Bob
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: 10 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

***THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING***

Bob is a 10 year old Siberian Husky who was a former sled dog for all his life. When I first lay my eyes on Bob I knew he was different. He was not barking like all the other dogs, he was just looking at me. He originally came from a sled company where he had been given up, mainly because he wasn’t a very good sled dog and didn’t “pull enough”.

I fixed him and gave him deworming and shots.  Most of his teeth are broken due to a lifetime diet of iced meat.  His tail his not complete because of an old frostbite injury. Otherwise than that my vet said he’s in perfect (physical) health!

He’s extremely scared of men. But enjoyed the company of women and kids. He doesn’t care about most animals as long as they let him live his life. He doesn’t like dominant dogs but is mostly friendly with all the dogs we have encountered.

Bob needs a patient and preferably a female owner who can help him build his self-esteem and confidence around men. He is very appreciative around a patient and calm person, and has come so far since he first arrived with us almost 5 months ago. He never knew toys, treats, play time or getting lots of love and attention. Now he enjoys all of them but especially the love and the treats! He is very gentle soul who just needs someone who loves him. Someone who knows husky breeds and especially retired sled dogs who could maybe helped him to develop into the amazing dog he could be.

Bella and Louna: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute (F) 6 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Names: Bella (black) and Louna (grey)
Breed: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute
Gender: Females (spayed)
Age: 6 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes, selective
Kids: Yes – older with caution

Hi there, we are Louna and Bella and we would love an active forever home to help us keep off all these extra pounds we gained over 6 years of cupboard love! We’ve lost lots of weight here all these months in foster, and now we are active girls.

We are 6 year old sisters, and we need to stay together. That means twice the love for you! We know how to sit, and we enjoy car rides. We are crate trained. We eat side by side without issue, however Louna needs to be fed away from other dogs in the home. We walk decently on leash. We are hit and miss with other dogs. Some dogs we get along fine with, others we gang up on and it can get carried away. Small dogs and cats are prey in our minds. Kids make us uncomfortable. We are also jumpy despite our size and would accidentally hurt kids. We aren’t recommended with children under 12.

We are not happy with our diet and yell at our fosters to voice our displeasure, Louna especially. We are not recommended for apartments, condos, etc due to the volume of our yelling when it occurs. We are chatty and especially so, since we are malamutes and huskies combined!

Louna is the more mischievious and aloof of the two, Bella is more of the cuddler. However, show us treats and we will both be right there jumping on you. We do love treats but they must be kept limited!

We are spayed and microchipped.
