Snow: Siberian Husky (F) 4 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Snow
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female
Age: 4 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

Hello, I am an adorable little ‘Snow’ball and I would love to melt on your floor. I am an easier than usual husky so many look for.

I am a 4 year old spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped female Siberian Husky. I am pure white and so very fluffy! I love people of all shapes and sizes. I am also dog friendly, however I am the dominant one in playgroups.

I am absolutely not friendly with cats or small dogs. I love to run and play with my friends, both human and larger canine. I am gentle around food/treats, but would prefer if you don’t try to take my toy away. I am house trained but have not yet been tested in a crate.

I am a quiet girl, so would likely be suitable to an apartment/townhouse/condo lifestyle if I am unable to get a detached home lifestyle. I do need a fence minimally 5ft high. If I don’t have a secure fence, I need to be kept on a leash or tether at all times since I will run off, which typical of my breed.

Emma: Siberian Husky (F) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Emma
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: OK, but older

Hi there, my name is Emma and I am looking for my seventh and final home through no fault of my own. You see, none of my previous homes have trained me or socialised me. They wanted me purely for my looks. I was also spayed while pregnant and I now have aggression issues with other dogs in my home.  I am mostly fine passing dogs on the street whilst walking.

I have never redirected any of my dog aggression on humans while breaking up the fights. I am good with kids. I am energetic though, so really little kids would likely be knocked over. I am crate trained but do exhibit separation anxiety and although I am making great progress in this department, I can sometimes be loud in the crate unless you’re in the room with me. I do, however, sleep the whole night through in my crate without a peep. I am not suitable for an apartment, town house, etc. I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.

I am standard size for a Siberian Husky, which means I am smaller than most of the huskies in rescue. But don’t let that fool you, I am one strong girl! I pull hard on leash, and I cannot be on a buckle collar as it will break. I can even break leash clips with my power. Maybe we could do mushing sports together?

I am seeking that one special home where I will have a structured life of training, exercise, socialisation, and can truly settle in and be happy being the only pet In the home. I burn a lot of calories with my energy and separation anxiety, so I need a good quality diet to help me gain and keep the weight on.

Spike: Siberian Husky (M) 7 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Spike
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 7 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes – see description
Kids: No

My name is Spike and I am in need of an experienced adopter. I am a project dog. I have never been given rules or restraint, so when I’m around food or toys I tend to protect and can bite. I know some basic commands like sit and paw. I pull on leash.

I can also be very vocal if left alone at first, but I do quiet down after a week or so once I am settled. I am good in a crate and love to travel in a car. I am food aggressive and resource possessive with humans and other dogs. I’ve been improving with my fosters and can now eat my food while being pet and respect their rules. Please do not reach for my food when I am eating, or reach for me while I am eating. I cannot be fed in a crate or anywhere confined, or I will guard all of it. I am best fed in the wide open, and tethered to an object so that if I decide you’re too close, you can get away safely.

I eat my dinner very quickly, however my kibble diet isn’t agreeing with my stomach here that much, so I think I need grain free food. I have been outdoors my whole life, so would prefer an outdoor or indoor/outdoor home. Please no apartments, condos. etc.

While I am adjusting to my new temporary life, I am very cautious and nervous of female humans and act fearful but no one knows why that is. I seem to be OK with human males and show more affection towards them. I do love being with other dogs, both big and medium and being affectionate with that person who I choose to trust. Please no kids due to my guarding. Please no cats!

I will be placed on a strict non-breeding contract and neuter contract. I am microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Tobi: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Tobi
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 1 year
Cats: With caution
Dogs: Yes
Kids: No

I’m the super adorable Tobi! But let me stop you there. Do not fall for me simply because of my looks.

I am in need of an experienced FEMALE adopter and I am a project dog. I have never been given rules or restraint, and so when I am given them, I do not act appropriately. I mouth very hard when I do not get my way. I am not a fan of having my collar handled or being leashed. I do not like men.

I can also be very vocal with hard eyes and stiff body if I don’t like something. For instance, I am crate trained and will go right in, but on occasion, I will lunge at the door as it is being latched shut. I am food aggressive and resource possessive with humans and other dogs.

That being said, I LOVE other dogs and just want to play! I do hump other dogs, but I will hopefully outgrow this as I exit the teenage phase of life in a few months and get neutered at an appropriate time. I even lived with cats for a month, so could live with husky experienced cats with caution. I am quiet when alone for the most part.

I do walk well in crowds of dogs and people on a short leash, however when not in a crowd, I pull on leash. I know how to sit. I am house trained, but I will mark. I will be placed on a foster-to-adopt contract until my neuter can be completed in a few months’ time at a more appropriate age and when my behaviour is more settled.

I am microchipped and will be vaccinated for rabies as of February 2018.

Whisky: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Whisky
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Age: 1 year
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: With caution

Hi, my name is Whisky and I am just over 1 year old.

I am a typical teenage husky, with puppy mouthing tendencies that can sometimes get carried away. I LOVE people, belly rubs, pets, and cuddles! So much so, that I do have separation anxiety. Because my separation anxiety can get quite loud, I am not suitable for an apartment, condo, etc. living situation. I am energetic and would ideally love a large fenced yard to run in and burn off my husky puppy energy!

I am good with other dogs, however I do play rough. I like to “tag” my dog friends when they run past me or ignore me. Some dogs don’t know how to deal with that and issues arise. I would need to meet my new brother/sister before finalizing adoption. I prefer female dogs over male dogs, but as long as the male dog is neutered, I am a bit better with them. Dogs of a similar high energy level for play are the best match for me.

I do have a sensitive stomach, so I need a high quality food or, ideally, a raw diet. I eat very quickly, so a slow feeder bowl would be best. I’m quite skilled at getting the meat off of raw meaty bones.

I am crate trained and house trained. I have no obedience training or vehicle travel manners. I have no manners, but I do know how to sit before I eat. I am very food motivated, so shape me into your dream pet! I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Nelson: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Nelson
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (Intact)
Age: 1 year
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes – Older

Hi, my name is Nelson and I am a little over a year old.

I am your typical hyper teenage Siberian Husky and need some training. I like to jump up on you, I have no leash manners. I do know how to sit for my dinner or a treat, and know how to do down. I could really benefit from physical and mental exercise, as well as attending obedience classes to better my manners and build a bond with you.

I have not been tested with cats, but given my breed, cats are strongly not recommended and I will not be adopted to a home with cats. Small dogs would also not be recommended. No younger kids please due to my resource guarding. I am dog friendly but I would need to meet my new dog-sibling to make sure we are compatible before going home. I do seem to prefer females over males.

I am a good boy, and I LOVE the outdoors. It’s so fun to be outside! I am not suitable for an apartment or condo home. I eat very quickly and I resource guard my food badly, as well as things I find or toys. I love to get into the garbage and am not easily called off of it to clean up my mess. I will even guard my leash if it still attached to me. Please do not touch my food while I am eating! My forever human must have experience in dealing with resource guarding.

I am fairly quiet here and am quiet in a crate once you manage to get me in but I do not go in willingly most of the time so need some time to get used to it.

I am up to date on my vaccinations and microchipped. I am not yet neutered and will be adopted on a strict non-breeding and neuter contract to be completed once I am settled in and calmer.

Alphonse: Siberian Husky (M) 5 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Alphonse
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: 5 years
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

My name is Alfonse and I am looking for a family to call my own. I have bounced around throughout my 5 years of life and I’m finally ready to settle down. I am neutered & fully vaccinated, which I hear can be an asset to finding a forever home! Could you open your heart and home to me?

I am not a noisy pup, and I’ve lived in attached housing and apartment life – well, I may bark if I need to go to the bathroom, or if you forgot to feed me! As long as a family doesn’t use a crate, I am quite content to be left to my own devices. I am not familiar with this “crate” thing, so it makes me quite nervous & anxious to be in one.  I prefer to be in a dog safe area of the home, and I will respect baby gates.

I am quite well mannered, though I may jump up for a hug but I promise I’m gentle about it! I have completed a basic obedience class, so I know my basic commands “sit” “lay down” etc but expect some husky stubbornness sometimes, while I give you the cute eyes.  You can convince me with food – I’m very food motivated! I am very loving and cuddly, I follow my people around the house, and also give them loving nibbles on their hands for pets. I have lived with other dogs and cats, and as long as the other pets are dog-savvy then I am happy to share my space with them, and its nice to have some playmates. I have even lived with kids, including young toddlers. As you can see, I am a well rounded and socialized man.  I enjoy a good exercise at dog parks and will stay close to my people.

Sadly, since I have been in so many new places, I am looking for a family to give me structure and consistency throughout the rest of my days. I would love to get my daily exercise, with a good walk or run before you leave for work, and then again when you return or have a yard or nearby park for some play! I do love my ball as well. I do pull on leash, so could either use some training, or maybe there’s a home out there looking to do some canicross, skijoring or biking with me to harness my instincts?

I have been without regular exercise in my previous homes, and for this reason I have gotten into things (mostly looking for food, boy do I love that!) or peed in the house (I am now trying this new thing called a “belly band”). I’m looking for a family willing to show me what a routine life is like, so I may need a little patience at first, but I am overall not destructive in the house and adjust to new homes quite easily. A family with breed experience may help as well, since it is important for my family to know that I may resource guard my food – but as long as my family is aware, I really don’t mean any harm! I’m just a dog with an unstable past, looking for a bright & happy future!

Arcade: Siberian Husky (M) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Arcade
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (intact)
Age: 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

Hello, I’m Arcade and I’m a loveable, kissable, adorable little man. I am 2 years old, I’m not yet neutered so I will be adopted on a neutering contract. I am microchipped.

My favourite thing is to hold on to you and give hugs. I certainly hope my future family like to talk because I really do! If you want you can just listen and I’ll do all the yabbering.

I love to go for walks, but I don’t heel too well and can get under foot. If you give me enough leash I’ll walk nicely and barely pull. If you’ve treats I’m really trainable. I seem to be food motivated.

I’m friendly with dogs of all sizes and love to play. I love kids and I really, really, really like being touched, combed or any attention. I am housetrained and doing dirty in house is not my thing, so if I whine please take me outside.

I dearly want a loving family to adopt me and will show you undying gratitude.

Aurora & Tundra: Siberian Huskies (F & M) 8 years & 4 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Names: Aurora (L) & Tundra (R)
Breed: Siberian Huskies
Gender: Female & Male
Age: 8 years & 4 years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: Yes

Hello, you may remember us from a few months ago. We are Aurora and Tundra, we are 8 years and 4 years old, mother and son, and our bond is strong.

Through no fault of our own, our adoptive home turned out not to be our forever home, so we are still looking for one where we can stay together.

We are not spayed/neutered, and Tundra is on a neuter contract to be completed once settled in. Aurora can be spayed at vet discretion due to age if our new home so chooses.

We are good in the house, but we are not crate trained. Aurora can jump and climb just about anything, including walls and fences, so our forever home needs to keep us on leash at all times or tether us when we are outside. We could live in an apartment/condo but we are very, very loud when separated, so please walk us together so your neighbours and other building tenants don’t get upset with us and you.

Aurora is not friendly with other dogs, so we would like to be your ONLY pets! We are not good with cats. We are good with children 2 years and up.

Wolfy: Siberian Husky (M) 15 months – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Wolfy
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 15 months
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: No

***This is a courtesy listing for owner***

Hello, my name is Wolfy, I am looking for my forever home. I am a 15 month old Siberian Husky and have already had 2 owners. I really would love to find a home and owner who can keep me forever.

I am neutered, I am micro-chipped and have all my paperwork and shots. I do need some training as I love to dig holes in the backyard, I also get very excited when I see people and I jump up on them. My heart is big and I do love to cuddle and take up the majority of the couch and bed. I have a ton of potential, I just need some help learning and gaining behaviour skills.

I haven’t been around small children very much and would jump up on them. I haven’t been given rules in any of my previous homes, so until I learn to obey rules and accept them, kids are not recommended just as a precaution. I have not been around cat either, so not sure how I will react.

Please put me behind a door when guests come over or when you’re bringing in groceries so I don’t barge out the door and get lost.
