Abba: Husky mix (F) 3 months – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Abba
Breed: Husky mix
Sex: Female (Intact)
Age: 3 months
Cats: Maybe – but not recommended
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes – older

I’m Abba! I am estimated at 3 months old and guessed to be a husky/malamute/shepherd/rottie mix. I am cute, smart, and amazing in every way. Only the best home will do for me!

I am crate trained and won’t make a peep, unless I need to potty. I sleep the whole night through in my crate without a fuss. I will pee right away as soon as I am taken outside but poop takes me a bit longer! I am working hard on house training, but still having a few accidents.

I am making great progress on my “back” command so I don’t turn into a door barger when I am bigger – just as long as my training is kept up! I am learning to sit before eating and how to share and play with other dogs. I am overly friendly, so will push other dogs around. Any existing dog in my new home MUST be tolerant and patient with puppies.

I am the perfect combination of fun and calm. I can entertain myself without getting into too much mischief, and take long naps when I am done. I am a lap dog, a couch dog, and a snow burrowing dog. I am good whilst grooming and for nail trims and even take my deworming medicine without a fuss. As a puppy, I do mouth and my puppy teeth can hurt! I also don’t want to be dropped, tugged, or otherwise hurt by a young child. I may be able to be trained to cohabit with cats, but there is never a guarantee in the long run.

Preference will be given to mature adult homes with an existing mature dog, fenced yard, raw feeding, trainers, individuals needing a service dog, those actively involved in obedience/training classes, those with time to spend playing, training, and socializing. Preferably a home with no younger kids or cats.

I have been examined by a vet, dewormed, and microchipped. I will be adopted on a non-breeding and spay contract to be completed once I am between 1 and 2 years old.

Max: Siberian Husky (M) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Max
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Age: 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: No

Hi there, my name is Max and I am 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

I am here because when I find food or resources that aren’t mine, like things on the counter or ground, I growl and guard them. I also do not like being told no. I need a forever human that knows how to deal with resource guarding. I am making great progress in this department so it shouldn’t take my new people long to teach me.

That being said, I am a very loving dog with humans. I am house trained but I am not crate trained. I am dog friendly with some larger dogs but I can be dominant with my dog friends, so a non-dog home is best for me. I pull on leash. I know how to sit and must do so before I am fed. I love to play tug! I will tug with toys, or your clothing. I act like a puppy and need someone to shape me into the promising dog I am!

Please no cats or small dogs around me! Please no children due to my resource guarding. I also sometimes don’t like my collar being touched and will let you know about it. I do door barge, so it is absolutely crucial to keep me on a leash indoors and out until this behaviour is trained out of me, or keep me behind a closed door if the front door is going to be opened for guests or when groceries come in. I don’t want to end up being lost if I bolt! I can be a bit vocal when left alone, so should not be in an apartment or condo-type setting in order to keep peace with the neighbours. I can run all day in a fenced yard.

Yukon: Siberian Husky (M) 10 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Yukon
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Age: 10 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Selective – no small dogs/no intact dogs
Kids: Yes

Hi, my name is Yukon and I will be 10 years old in March. I would LOVE to be your Velcro dog. I follow my fosters everywhere in the house and will whine if I cannot get to them.

I am very much a house dog and don’t like being outside alone for long periods of time. I sleep on the bed at night and don’t cause a problem. I do not like being crated and I do have separation anxiety.

I am good with some dogs, however I prefer spayed females and neutered males and no small dogs. As a retired stud, intact females, whether in heat or not, get me into breeding mindset and that is annoying for everyone in the home. I do fine being loose in the house and don’t get into too much mischief, however I will open baby gates.

I am very good with children, and now that I have had over 10 teeth removed, my breath is much, much better! I don’t pull on leash, but also don’t know my basic commands very well. I am a very loving, needy boy, and I would love a couch to call my own in my retirement years!

I am not suited to close-knit living so no apartment/townhouse/duplex/condo for me, I need to be somewhere with some space and where noise won’t be an issue.

I am recently neutered and microchipped. A donation towards my very expensive vetting would be appreciated.

Brutus: Siberian Husky mix (M) 9½ years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Brutus
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 9½ years
Cats: No
Dogs: OK – see description
Kids: Yes

Hello, my name is Brutus! I am energetic and need an experienced, active forever human! I may be 9½ years young, but I can still more than keep up with the most active of homes and pull you on leash. I have not met any cats, but it is highly unlikely that I will be good with cats or other small critters.

I am great in the house and non-destructive. I am house trained. I am crate trained (plastic crates only). I am good with dogs, however, I am the school yard bully. My canine companion needs to be tolerant of my pushy, loud, obnoxious behaviour. We would need to meet before I can go home and make sure we are OK together. I go to the dog park frequently and am socialized with all sizes of dogs.

I am searching for a new home again through no fault of my own and would love to share your home with you! I will stand on my head if I choose you at our meet/greet. I am perpetually happy, but I do have some separation anxiety during my adjustment period, so please be patient with me while I adjust to another new home. I am not suitable for an apartment/condo/duplex/townhouse type living situation. I do dig when outside and can escape my leash if you aren’t holding on really tight! But hey, I’m a retired sled dog; It’s in my nature!

I am not neutered. I will be adopted on a strict no breeding contract due to my age. I am microchipped.

Bailey: Siberian Husky (M) 11 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Bailey
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 11
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

Hello, my name is Bailey. I am an older fella, but I am still able to be active!

My tail never stops wagging when I see a person. I walk relatively well on leash, but more training will really help. I am house trained, though I did want to mark when I first came into my foster home.

I love going for car rides and getting attention. I sit for attention from a human and go into a crate on command. However, as soon as I see you awake – I need to be let out to the bathroom right away.  I am good with other dogs – even puppies!

I am rather lean and a picky eater, but being lean at my age isn’t a bad thing. I could still stand to gain a few pounds though. I would likely be OK with older, respectful kids that will not climb or jump on me or pull on me. I am used to living in an apartment with a cat. I am good with the cat so long as she isn’t trying to pester me when I am eating. I am decently well-mannered.

I am intact and due to my age will adopted on a strict no breeding contract. I am microchipped and have a clean bill of health from the vet just a few months ago.

Snow: Siberian Husky (F) 4 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Snow
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female
Age: 4 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes

Hello, I am an adorable little ‘Snow’ball and I would love to melt on your floor. I am an easier than usual husky so many look for.

I am a 4 year old spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped female Siberian Husky. I am pure white and so very fluffy! I love people of all shapes and sizes. I am also dog friendly, however I am the dominant one in playgroups.

I am absolutely not friendly with cats or small dogs. I love to run and play with my friends, both human and larger canine. I am gentle around food/treats, but would prefer if you don’t try to take my toy away. I am house trained but have not yet been tested in a crate.

I am a quiet girl, so would likely be suitable to an apartment/townhouse/condo lifestyle if I am unable to get a detached home lifestyle. I do need a fence minimally 5ft high. If I don’t have a secure fence, I need to be kept on a leash or tether at all times since I will run off, which typical of my breed.

Emma: Siberian Husky (F) 2 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Emma
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: OK, but older

Hi there, my name is Emma and I am looking for my seventh and final home through no fault of my own. You see, none of my previous homes have trained me or socialised me. They wanted me purely for my looks. I was also spayed while pregnant and I now have aggression issues with other dogs in my home.  I am mostly fine passing dogs on the street whilst walking.

I have never redirected any of my dog aggression on humans while breaking up the fights. I am good with kids. I am energetic though, so really little kids would likely be knocked over. I am crate trained but do exhibit separation anxiety and although I am making great progress in this department, I can sometimes be loud in the crate unless you’re in the room with me. I do, however, sleep the whole night through in my crate without a peep. I am not suitable for an apartment, town house, etc. I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.

I am standard size for a Siberian Husky, which means I am smaller than most of the huskies in rescue. But don’t let that fool you, I am one strong girl! I pull hard on leash, and I cannot be on a buckle collar as it will break. I can even break leash clips with my power. Maybe we could do mushing sports together?

I am seeking that one special home where I will have a structured life of training, exercise, socialisation, and can truly settle in and be happy being the only pet In the home. I burn a lot of calories with my energy and separation anxiety, so I need a good quality diet to help me gain and keep the weight on.

Spike: Siberian Husky (M) 7 years – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Spike
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 7 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes – see description
Kids: No

My name is Spike and I am in need of an experienced adopter. I am a project dog. I have never been given rules or restraint, so when I’m around food or toys I tend to protect and can bite. I know some basic commands like sit and paw. I pull on leash.

I can also be very vocal if left alone at first, but I do quiet down after a week or so once I am settled. I am good in a crate and love to travel in a car. I am food aggressive and resource possessive with humans and other dogs. I’ve been improving with my fosters and can now eat my food while being pet and respect their rules. Please do not reach for my food when I am eating, or reach for me while I am eating. I cannot be fed in a crate or anywhere confined, or I will guard all of it. I am best fed in the wide open, and tethered to an object so that if I decide you’re too close, you can get away safely.

I eat my dinner very quickly, however my kibble diet isn’t agreeing with my stomach here that much, so I think I need grain free food. I have been outdoors my whole life, so would prefer an outdoor or indoor/outdoor home. Please no apartments, condos. etc.

While I am adjusting to my new temporary life, I am very cautious and nervous of female humans and act fearful but no one knows why that is. I seem to be OK with human males and show more affection towards them. I do love being with other dogs, both big and medium and being affectionate with that person who I choose to trust. Please no kids due to my guarding. Please no cats!

I will be placed on a strict non-breeding contract and neuter contract. I am microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Tobi: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Tobi
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male
Age: 1 year
Cats: With caution
Dogs: Yes
Kids: No

I’m the super adorable Tobi! But let me stop you there. Do not fall for me simply because of my looks.

I am in need of an experienced FEMALE adopter and I am a project dog. I have never been given rules or restraint, and so when I am given them, I do not act appropriately. I mouth very hard when I do not get my way. I am not a fan of having my collar handled or being leashed. I do not like men.

I can also be very vocal with hard eyes and stiff body if I don’t like something. For instance, I am crate trained and will go right in, but on occasion, I will lunge at the door as it is being latched shut. I am food aggressive and resource possessive with humans and other dogs.

That being said, I LOVE other dogs and just want to play! I do hump other dogs, but I will hopefully outgrow this as I exit the teenage phase of life in a few months and get neutered at an appropriate time. I even lived with cats for a month, so could live with husky experienced cats with caution. I am quiet when alone for the most part.

I do walk well in crowds of dogs and people on a short leash, however when not in a crowd, I pull on leash. I know how to sit. I am house trained, but I will mark. I will be placed on a foster-to-adopt contract until my neuter can be completed in a few months’ time at a more appropriate age and when my behaviour is more settled.

I am microchipped and will be vaccinated for rabies as of February 2018.

Whisky: Siberian Husky (M) 1 year – ADOPTED

ADOPTED!

Name: Whisky
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Age: 1 year
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: With caution

Hi, my name is Whisky and I am just over 1 year old.

I am a typical teenage husky, with puppy mouthing tendencies that can sometimes get carried away. I LOVE people, belly rubs, pets, and cuddles! So much so, that I do have separation anxiety. Because my separation anxiety can get quite loud, I am not suitable for an apartment, condo, etc. living situation. I am energetic and would ideally love a large fenced yard to run in and burn off my husky puppy energy!

I am good with other dogs, however I do play rough. I like to “tag” my dog friends when they run past me or ignore me. Some dogs don’t know how to deal with that and issues arise. I would need to meet my new brother/sister before finalizing adoption. I prefer female dogs over male dogs, but as long as the male dog is neutered, I am a bit better with them. Dogs of a similar high energy level for play are the best match for me.

I do have a sensitive stomach, so I need a high quality food or, ideally, a raw diet. I eat very quickly, so a slow feeder bowl would be best. I’m quite skilled at getting the meat off of raw meaty bones.

I am crate trained and house trained. I have no obedience training or vehicle travel manners. I have no manners, but I do know how to sit before I eat. I am very food motivated, so shape me into your dream pet! I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
